SPRING 2012 CONCERT:
April 21 - Time/Location to be announced
Welcome!
The mission of the Choral Arts Society Chorale is to provide a musical outlet in which to create music that both tugs at the heart and speaks to the soul.
The Choral Arts Society Chorale will endeavor to promote choral music through performance, education, sponsorship of musical exchanges, and the encouragement of local artists.
History
The Choral Arts Society Chorale was founded by renowned conductor Rod Witte following his retirement from Madison's Lafollette High School, and continues to flourish after more than ten years of performing and supporting choral music in the Madison area. See the Conductor page for information about our current conductor, Ben Luedcke.
Performances
The choir performs two main concerts per year, one in the spring and one during the holidays, in addition to smaller concerts for churches, retirement communities, and other audiences throughout the area. See the Concerts page for more. The group performs a variety of material from all eras including a cappella pieces as well as works accompanied by piano and small orchestral works.
Affiliations
The Choral Arts Society is not affiliated with any church or other group, but is a self-sufficient, nonprofit, just-for-fun performing organization.
Who Can Join
The choir welcomes experienced singers from any background and does not require a formal audition for membership (see How to Join).
